Bylaws and Working Group Activation

Proposal: Working Groups and Communication Structure to Activate our new Bylaws

Posted to the Diamante Bridge Forum, shared on Telegram to the DBC Members community on 28 June, 2026

This post:

  • Collapses 60+ old DBC Telegram groups into 3 active spaces
  • Activates the three Working Groups with named leads and suggested scope
  • Maps our DBC Members community topics to their Working Group homes
  • Invites every member to self-select into a Working Group
  • Opens a 7-day advice process for objections, questions, and offers of support

At the nudging of Arturo, I submit this proposal for the revision of our communication channels to both simplify and more accurately represent the working groups and membership activities of the DBC.

We have a plethora of outdated Telegram groups, some redundant and others no longer active. We have three Working Groups recommended by the membership and authorized by the Board but not yet activated. And we have a DBC Members community with topics that already maps fairly well to where the work wants to live. This proposal connects all three.

What I’m proposing

That we consolidate our Telegram presence and name the Working Groups that will organize our operational work going forward, as follows:

Close and archive: DBC Core · DBC Regenerative Enterprise · Puente Diamante Members — per Ara’s suggestion. These overlap with what DBC Members now holds. In addition, I have exported and archived the past 5 years of Telegram groups related to the DBC - over 50!

Keep: APDBC Board 2026 (Board coordination) · DBC Community (open welcome space for the wider valley) · DBC Members (our operational hub — community with topics).

Within DBC Members, the active topics are:

Topic Working Group home Notes
Announcements All General-access, Board-managed
Membership / Bylaws Working Group Membership See below re: lead
Proposals Membership Governance proposals go here
Calendar Coordination Membership Events, assemblies, gatherings
Governance Studies Membership Learning and reference materials
Treasury / Contribution Council Treasury Core financial and contribution tracking
Cryptophilanthropy Treasury Web3 and alternative finance track
Tech Tools Treasury Platforms, tools, tracking infrastructure
Tech & Communications Treasury Sejo and Randall have been holding this — it stays with them
Nature Council / Land Stewardship Nature Council Land nodes, ecology, projects
Hospitality Nature Council Welcoming guests across land nodes

Also closed for now: Social Media · Wellness Circle · General Circle 1st Wednesdays · RegenEnterprise Circle and sooo many more.

The Focus: Three Working Groups

These are Working Groups, not Circles yet. Each group will define its own scope, meeting rhythm, and roles; and from that work, the Sociocratic Circles will form. This proposal suggests the direction; the groups decide who they are and how they operate, post here on the Forum for advice process then bring it to a biweekly general meeting to be approved.

Each working group needs a Lead, a Board liaison, member participants, and also, those who observe and listen first before seeing where they can contribute whether members yet or not.

Membership Working Group

Board liaison: Zander (Secretary) reviews, scribes, and brings decisions to the Board and into the official books. The operational lead for this Working Group is open and we are actively looking for someone to step into it.

Leads and Learners roles are open If you have skills and/or interest in helping with how people enter, grow, and know themselves within this community (the constitution, the bylaws, the contribution records and stage initiations, the welcome process and the membership benefits) this group needs you. We need a Lead Link and a few learners, especially recommended for new members.

How we administer our Bylaws to perform our projects and support one another as members is part of this working groups domain. Randall is already the drafter on the Bylaws thread, Zander has offered to support bringing this group together, and Ara has raised his hand to ask when the group will meet and get started.

Suggested scope for the group to confirm: welcoming new members · maintaining the membership book and contribution records · developing the stage-claim process toward September · coordinating calendar and community events · scribing and distributing minutes

Treasury Working Group

Lead: Sejo (Treasurer) · Co-lead / tech and comms: Randall

This group holds the full picture of what we’re building together - not just money, but all eight forms of value. The Bloom Network connection, the contribution-recognition process, the platforms and tools that make our work legible and fundable: this is where all of that lives. This group holds spreadsheets and stories; tracking the contributions of our members through storytelling on Bloom and in the ledgers that are used to distribute rewards, rights and benefits.

Suggested scope for the group to confirm: financial accounts and reporting · 8 Forms of Capital contribution tracking · Bloom Network impact reporting · Cryptophilanthropy and Web3 exploration · Tech tools and communications infrastructure

Nature Council Working Group

Lead Link: Cameron · Board cross-link: Dani (President)

The Nature Council holds the voice of place in our governance. The land nodes and ecological stewardship projects are its members. Inviting the following to participate as land node representatives:

  • Tim — Diamante Luz (Commons, eartHeart)
  • Forrest — Luz del Bosque
  • Richie Richie’s Place
  • Travis - Regenesis
  • Angelina - Pacific Journeys / Diamante Cave & Garden
  • Desiree - Abundant Eden/Iriecycles
  • Esther - Coliazul

And anyone else, this is not an exclusive list! If your land, project, or ecological work sits in this valley and you want it represented in collective governance, this is your circle.

Suggested scope for the group to confirm: project leads across DBC land nodes · land node coordination · ecological stewardship and voice of nature in governance decisions (like land use agreements, watershed commitments, project prioritization and resource allocation)

Advice Process — Open for 7 days

Closes: [date + 7 days]

This proposal is considered consented to if no unresolved objections are raised within that window.

We are looking for:

Objections — something in this proposal that you believe would actively harm the association or contradict our Bylaws

Clarifying questions — something you need to understand before you can evaluate it

Offers of support — something you’re ready to bring, especially to the Membership Working Group which is actively seeking its Lead

Please reply here on the Forum for transparency. If you prefer private communication, send to [diamantebridgecollective@gmail.com].

To self-select into a Working Group: reply to this post with the group you want to contribute to. You don’t need to know what you’ll do yet. Showing up to the first gathering is how we find out together.
