This has been a 6 year learning process and an epic dream moving through reality as it is, full of high points and struggles, much of which has been written about in other posts. We are at a point of bringing more structure and form to our agreements for collective land use.
I propose the DBC and Diamante Luz Trust enter into agreement for the DBC to govern and steward the top plantel and surrounding area. I also propose that the eartHeart plantel be currently held (governed and stewarded) within the Diamante Luz Trust until there is greater capacity within the DBC to operate the eartHeart plantel and also greater capacity of the Diamante Luz Trust to expand into the residential zone and transition the space to the DBC. This proposal takes into account all of the resources, energy, and capital that the DBC has brought to the land and would grant access to the top plantel without additional financial exchange. At the time of the eartHeart plantel transition into the DBC there will be an agreement creation process that will address all aspects of the exchange, but at the time of this proposal it would bring a balancing of reciprocity in the ledger between the DBC and the Diamante Luz Trust.
Until the top plantel has built spaces to hold events, the eartHeart plantel can be accessible in the same ways that we have been operating for the last year or so. Meaning pre-scheduling events and meetings with clear communication.
There has been much investment of resources, energy, and awareness from the Diamante Luz Trustees, a few major contributors, and the DBC toward the current progress of the Commons at Diamante Luz, the culture of collective land stewardship, and the pathways for developing the stewardship relationships with each other and the land. The intention for this proposal is to acknowledge the contributions and to create clarity for moving forward in a symbiotic and mutually beneficial way.
